How to Paint Ikat Patterns

How to Paint 4 Ikat Patterns: Child at Heart

I wrote a post a while back about my ikat painting in our house.  It’s been pinned thousands of times but I don’t think it’s a great tutorial for showing HOW to paint the pattern.   I decided to make this little video of 4 of my favorite ikat inspired patterns to help people actually see how I did it.  I just finished a new HUGE ikat canvas for the living room and LOVE LOVE LOVE it 🙂

**My son was out there the whole time and was SO quiet.  He’s two years old so that’s really hard 🙂  Yay Cole!

Hi…I absolutely love this. Thanks for the tutorial. I was wondering what brand watercolors do you use? The colors are so vibrant.
    Thanks again.

I’m not sure what brand they are but they are the cheap ones from Hobby Lobby 🙂 I looked just now and I must have pulled the sticker off when I bought them. Please share pictures with me if you create one of my patterns!
